Hi, and welcome back to MediaFix. Today I will be evaluating some film trailers in relation to Steve Neal's genre theory. First we will be looking at a trailer from Electric Dreams. Trailer from Electric Dreams, Release date: 20 July 1984 The Genre of this film appears to be a mix between Comedy, Sci-Fi, and Romance. Audience targeting is a good convention for determining the films genre. This is because through the use of a relationship-based narrative the female audience is drawn to watch the film. And with the use of Sci-Fi, male audiences will also view the film because there is an action-based lead.
